Is there really a difference between Sanitizing and Disinfecting? 

I'm asked this question time after time... Yes, there is...

Disinfecting - kills Germs, Bacteria, Microorganisms and Bloodborne Pathogens.

Every time you touch your desk, keyboard, or telephone, you can pick up germs. More than 10 million bacteria are on a typical office desk -- 400 times more bacteria than found on the average toilet seat -- which means that typing an email or making a call puts you at risk for illnesses. 

So the next time you’re on a bender, and focused on ridding the stubborn traces of the illness that took your office out of commission for a week or just trying to prevent an illness from doing so, like (Covid-19 or the Flu) make sure you or your cleaning service is using a disinfectant and following EPA/CDC guidelines.

Green cleaning products, glass plus cleaners, perfume-smelling cleaners, and multi-surface cleaners ONLY SANITISE. Meaning they only make the surface look clean. They do not kill Germs, bacteria, or Microorganisms that make us sick and can spread to other surfaces. Multi-surface cleaning products must remain on the surface wet for up to 3 minutes or be allowed to air dry to be effective in disinfecting. Those kinds of instructions on a label aren’t a suggestion. They’re specifying under what conditions their product is considered sanitizing or disinfecting per EPA/CDC guidelines.
